You ask why MAGA supporters don't see the inconsistencies in Trump’s behavior and his policies. The answer is that traditional news media are not making any of these a big deal. Millionaires and billionaires control the New York Times, the Washington Post, the New York Post, and large media corporations have sucked up almost all of the television networks, forming giant conglomerates like Paramount, Fox, and Disney, for example.
Uneducated and undereducated people aren't seeking out enlightening podcasts or Substack articles like yours or Heather Cox Richardson's or Robert Reich's. And most don't understand the complex history of the United States. They were fed a very basic, prejudiced outline of U.S. history over the last 40 years. (Heck, that's the same education I had, but I got a B.A. at GWU in D.C., and later moved to NYC from my small New England town, meeting people from all walks of life. How many people in the U.S. are really able to have those opportunities?)
We have no Walter Cronkite to show us the Vietnam War and sway public opinion. The present-day Woodwards and Bernsteins don't have a big publisher willing to expose the sad truths behind the American presidency. Most of our politicians are unable or unwilling to reveal publicly that the emperor has no clothes, since they are beholden to constituents with bigger coffers than the average citizen.
I don't know how to solve this without shouting from every rooftop, and it's unlikely that Citizens United will be overturned any time soon. But it doesn't mystify me that the populace are slow to hear the truth, understand the truth, and act on the truth. The Word has to hit them where they live, so to speak.

Scott Jennings loves himself so much he is prepared to say anything and do anything to get attention, even if it means he impacts those who have been brainwashed in maga… he is a power hungry traitor to our democracy and hurt the world at large. Scott just doesn’t care… he makes $$$$$$$ and that seems to be ok with him. He is deplorable and a hypocrite.
I am not always good at this, but I try to watch what the other side propagandizes so I'm aware of the blindspots of the other people. Unfortunately, I can't find a MAGA who is open to facts or relevant information to form their own opinion.

I am a bit sad about Swift taking over. While self care and enjoyment are important, the world is kind of burning yet all we can talk about is Taylor Swift? We need to keep Epstein front and center. I think it may be the only thing to break the MAGA cult. But maybe I am wrong. Also I like Angel Hair and Gnocchi!
My favorite pasta shape is rigatoni or penne rigate- anything with ridges to catch more sauce. Farfalle are nice too because they are bowties/butterflies. Glad for the pasta distraction 🍝
Thanks to both of you. As far as the poll, it depends on what 1 is eating. Each one has its purpose. As someone who can't eat gluten, it also depends on the brand/restaurant.
Joyce, there are 2 companies for you to ask if your grocery stores will stock. 1 is fresh and from Madison, Wisconsin-RPs Fresh. The other is from Italy-Jovial. Jovial has a cheaper knockoff brand as well. BOTH brands have glutenous and gluten-free pastas. The GF pastas are Celiac-safe.
Joyce, Ellie is looking to find a legal eye to identify any legal recourse for the fact that G. Maxwell actually named the person identified in a court documents as Jane Doe, and that the DOI did not redact it. Ellie is transcribing Maxwells interviews with Todd Blanche and saw this, which completely flipped her out.

I stopped watching CNN many years ago, because of Jennings. He has been a GOP and FOTUS apologist for years.
